Echoes of the Past: Folk, Fantasy, and French Flair (A múlt visszhangjai: Népzene, fantázia és francia elegancia)

  • MÜPA Üvegterem, Budapest, Hungary 1 Komor Marcell utca Budapest, 1095 Hungary (map)

ABOUT THE PROGRAMME

This concert invites you on a journey through memory and imagination, moving between folk and classical traditions - from Japan to France, Hungary to Vienna - blending raw earthiness with refined elegance. Matuz’s Sakura Sakura shimmers in stillness, giving way to Rameau’s courtly grace and warmth, Bartók’s rustic fire, and the quiet introspection of Beethoven’s Bagatelles, before lifting off in the playful brilliance of Ibert’s Pièce. Here, tradition is not preserved but transformed, where folk meets fantasy, and the past is heard anew.
